Associate professor at CBioClima presents a lecture on “Structure and Dynamics of Ecological Networks” at Unesp in Rio Claro

Associate professor at CBioClima (Center for Research in Biodiversity Dynamics and Climate Change) Paulo Guimarães from USP (University of São Paulo) gave a lecture at the Charles Darwin Seminars, this Monday (9), on “Structure and Dynamics of Ecological Networks”, in Amphitheater II at Unesp in Rio Claro.
The presentation dealt with the collapse of trophic network with the loss of diversity, alternative states modulated by ecological interactions, the importance of networks for ecology and evolution, gain of diversity with ecological interactions, the organization of organizational niches, intrapopulation variation and other points.
The lecture will soon be available on our YouTube channel here. The Charles Darwin Seminars are an initiative of CBioClima, based at the Institute of Biosciences of Unesp in Rio Claro/SP. The events are in-person and open to all interested members of the academic community.
The next lecture is scheduled for August 26th, at 1:00 p.m., with Professor Demétrius Martins. The topic will be: Carbon Projects in Brazil: Nature-Based Solutions to Combat Climate Change.
