🍃 Oral Session 6 was held late Thursday morning (31) at PHENO2025. The theme was "Phenology, Traditional Knowledge, and Citizen Science." The session coordinator was Jennifer Fitchett (University of the Witwatersrand).


The presentations were:


Voluntary Contribution - Per Bengtson (Swedish Nature Interpretation Center, Sweden) | Counting on Change - An exhibition that activates Nature Center visitors in Phenology to raise awareness of Climate Change;


Voluntary Contribution - Udo Busch (Deutscher Wetterdienst, Germany) | Report Phenological Observations by Citizens using the new DWD Warn-Wetter app;


Voluntary Contribution - Jociene Oliveira Vitoria Nascimento (Bahia Department of Education, Brazil) | Is the "Fulorar" Mandacaru "During Drought" a Sign of Coming Rain in the Sertão? Phenology and Local Ecological Knowledge in Quilombola Communities of the Caatinga;


Voluntary Contribution - Rodolfo Augusto de Araújo Almeida | Visualizing the Blue Jacaranda Phenology Data: Connecting People with Local Indicators of Climate Change.
